MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY: If you are an employee of Frederick County Public Schools or Frederick Community College, you, your spouse, and family members may join FERKO. There is no requirement that family members live in the same household. All that is required is that you maintain a balance of $25.00 in your shares account. You may also have money deducted directly from your pay and placed into your FERKO account. Once you are a member, you will always be a member until you close your account. If you terminate your employment with Frederick County Public Schools or Frederick Community College you are still a member of FERKO until you close your account.

CHRISTMAS CLUB CHECKS!!!
Christmas club checks for the 2025 calendar year will be mailed out on October 2, 2025. If you want to pick up your check or want to redeposit your check into your savings account, please contact us by October 1, 2025. If you want to open a Christmas club for the 2026 calendar year, you may do so starting October 3, 2025. Ferko can arrange for a portion of your payroll deduction to be deposited into a Christmas club account. Please call us for more information at 301-662-7266.

FERKO will be closed Monday, October 13, 2025 for Columbus Day.

FERKO will be open on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. FERKO will be closed December 25, 2025 for Christmas.
